Essential cookies & storage

Required for the service to function and cannot be switched off: authentication and session cookies set by our auth provider (Clerk), and browser localStorage/IndexedDB used for your theme preference, offline drafts, app settings, and your cookie-consent choice. This local data stays on your device and is how your writing survives a lost connection.

Analytics

We use PostHog to understand product usage — which features are used, where people get stuck — so we can improve the app. This data is never sold and never used for advertising. Where consent is required (for example in the EU/UK), analytics runs in cookieless mode until you accept: events are processed in memory and no identifier is stored on your device. Analytics cookies and localStorage identifiers are set only after you allow analytics — via the consent banner or the switch below.

Managing your preferences

Use the switch below to turn analytics on or off at any time; your choice is stored on this device. You can also clear or block cookies entirely through your browser settings — blocking essential cookies will sign you out and may break offline drafting, while blocking analytics has no effect on functionality.
