DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026

We respect intellectual property rights. User projects are private to their authors, but because users can import and store manuscripts, this policy explains how to report material you believe infringes your copyright and how affected users can respond.

Filing a takedown notice

Send a written notice to our designated agent at support@novelhearth.comwith the subject “DMCA notice”, including:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed, and of the allegedly infringing material with enough detail for us to locate it.
  • Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

On receipt of a valid notice we will remove or disable access to the identified material and notify the account holder.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including: identification of the removed material and its prior location; your name, address, and phone number; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts at your address (or, if outside the relevant jurisdiction, to ours); and your physical or electronic signature. Unless the original claimant files a court action, removed material may be restored within 10–14 business days of a valid counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
